In a major push to enhance brand-creator collaborations, Facebook parent Meta introduced a suite of artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled marketing tools on March 26. These tools aim to simplify creator discovery and improve content recommendations, helping brands boost sales by leveraging the power of influencer marketing.
Meta’s new tools include AI-driven creator discovery and content recommendation features, along with enhanced insights for businesses within Instagram’s Creator Marketplace. Notably, Instagram expanded its creator marketplace to India and seven other global markets in February 2024, recognizing the vast potential of influencer-driven sales.
India Leads in Creator Engagement
Meta sees India as a pivotal market, given its vast user base across Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and Messenger. Arun Srinivas, Director and Head of Ads Business for Meta in India, emphasized that the country boasts the world’s largest Instagram creator community. “The new tools we’re launching today harness the power of AI to make creator discovery even more seamless for brands, in turn boosting growth potential for both brands and creators,” said Srinivas.
India has also emerged as the global leader in Reels creation, producing the highest number of Reels weekly. Businesses like Snitch have already benefited from Meta’s creator-driven ad solutions. Aniket Singh, Chief Business Officer of Snitch, highlighted the synergy between Reels and creators, stating, “The combination of Reels and creators is where the magic spot lies for driving the desired business results. Using creator content amplified by Partnership Ads on Meta platforms has helped us drive a 53% increase in ROAS (Return on Ad Spend).”
AI-Driven Personalization for Brands
Meta’s latest advancements focus on refining creator recommendations within Instagram’s Creator Marketplace. The AI-powered tools analyze a creator’s platform presence, audience engagement, and past partnership experience to predict which creators will be most effective for specific ad campaigns. Brands can now access personalized, AI-enabled content recommendations through the Partnership Ads Hub in Ads Manager, ensuring that their paid ads feature high-performing, relevant organic branded content.
Additionally, Instagram has introduced a keyword search function in the Creator Marketplace, allowing brands to refine their searches using terms like ‘summer vacation holiday,’ ‘Bollywood dance steps,’ or ‘gadget unboxing.’ Businesses can also filter creators by 20 industry verticals, including fashion, beauty, and home and garden, making the discovery process more precise.
Enhanced Tools for Seamless Brand-Creator Partnerships
Meta is also expanding its Marketing API support for Partnership Ads, enabling brands to run creator marketing campaigns alongside their traditional business advertisements. To further improve the collaboration experience, Instagram has introduced new insights in the Creator Marketplace, displaying relevant Reels content on creator cards and allowing businesses to contact matched creators via direct email.
Furthermore, brands can now view a creator’s previous Partnership Ads on their Creator Profile, helping them better understand the creator’s content style and past brand collaborations. Advertisers can also repurpose existing Instagram posts for Partnership Ads using placement asset customization and Advantage+ Creative features within API-driven ad creation.
With these AI-powered innovations, Meta is reinforcing its commitment to streamlining brand-creator partnerships, making influencer marketing more effective, data-driven, and accessible. As social media marketing continues to evolve, these tools position Meta as a leader in the creator economy, driving both brand success and creator growth worldwide.
