Larsen and Tourbo (L&T) announced a significant milestone today as its Hydrocarbon Business, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH), secured a large onshore project from IndianOil Adani Ventures Limited. The contract, falling within the substantial range of Rs 2,500 crore and Rs 5,000 crore, underscores L&T’s prowess in the hydrocarbon sector.
The scope of the project entails comprehensive services, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of offsite tankages, bullets, and associated facilities on a lump sum turnkey basis. LTEH has been entrusted with executing this critical venture, reinforcing the company’s position as a key player in the hydrocarbon domain.
LTEH has a commendable track record, having successfully completed four prestigious projects under the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL)’s P-25 expansion program. Past projects encompassed vital elements such as the Residue HydroCracker Unit (RHCU), Diesel Hydrotreater (DHDT), and Reactor Regenerator Package (RR).
Organized under various business groups such as Offshore, Onshore EPC, Modular Fabrication, Advanced Value Engineering & Technology (AdVENT), and Offshore Wind Farm, LTEH provides end-to-end solutions across the hydrocarbon sector, catering to both domestic and international clientele.
This recent triumph follows LTEH’s securing of a Letter of Intent (LoI) for an “Ultra-Mega” onshore project from a prestigious client in the Middle East back in October. The company, in its statement, highlighted that this new project adds to their recent accolade of an Ultra-Mega project for a Gas Compression plant.
L&T, a multinational conglomerate with a market cap of $23 billion, is actively engaged in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, high-tech manufacturing, and a diverse array of services. Operating in over 50 countries, L&T continues to strengthen its presence in the hydrocarbon sector, delivering innovative and efficient solutions to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
The recent contract win with IndianOil Adani Ventures further cements L&T’s reputation as a go-to partner for hydrocarbon projects, and investors are likely to watch closely as the company continues to make strides in this critical sector.
