Axis Bank AURA credit card review: group yoga class representing the card's fitness benefits

Last reviewed: 10 October 2026. Fees and benefits checked against Axis Bank’s official card page, the AURA benefit terms for Decathlon, Practo and Fitternity, the AURA card terms revision, the credit card Key Fact Statement (last updated 17 September 2026) and the MITC.

Status update: the Axis Bank AURA credit card is not listed on the bank’s current card page as of 10 Oct 2026, although it still appears in the bank’s fee schedule. Existing cards keep their benefits. If you are new to credit cards, see our best credit cards for beginners for current picks.

The Axis Bank AURA credit card is a low fee health and wellness card. Instead of chasing reward rates, it bundles free video doctor consultations, live and recorded fitness sessions and a Decathlon welcome voucher for ₹749 a year. For a family that would otherwise pay for teleconsultations, those perks can be worth more than the fee. This review checks the numbers and explains who should keep it.

Best forFamilies who will actually use teleconsultations and online fitness classes

GST at 18% is added to every fee and charge.

How to use the health benefits

All AURA perks are claimed on the bank’s partner portal by logging in with the mobile number registered for the card and an OTP. Practo consultations are instant video, audio or chat sessions; unused ones do not roll over to the next month. Fitternity bookings need 24 hours’ notice and cannot be changed once made. Every benefit stops if the card is cancelled, converted, or the minimum due is not paid on time.

Spends that earn no points

Utilities and telecom, education, rent, wallet loads, government payments, fuel, cash advances and repayments earn nothing. Unlike most Axis cards, insurance is not on AURA’s exclusion list.

What the Axis Bank AURA credit card is worth in a year

Since Axis does not publish a current points rate for AURA, this example values only the fixed benefits:

  • Fee: ₹749 + ₹134.82 GST = ₹883.82 a year
  • First year: Decathlon voucher worth ₹750, so the net cost before using any health perk is ₹883.82 minus ₹750 = ₹133.82
  • Later years: ₹883.82 ÷ 12 = about ₹73.65 a month
  • Consultations available: 4 a month, or 48 a year for the household
  • Fuel: a ₹4,000 fill each month carries a ₹40 surcharge; refunding it saves ₹480 a year, inside the ₹250 per cycle cap

If your household uses even one video consultation a month, you are paying roughly ₹74 per consultation from the second year, before counting the fuel refund and fitness classes. If you never open the portal, the card is just a ₹884 a year card with an unknown reward rate.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • 48 free teleconsultations a year that family members can share.
  • Monthly live and recorded workout sessions.
  • The ₹750 Decathlon voucher almost covers the first year fee.
  • Fuel surcharge refund up to ₹250 a cycle.

Cons

  • Not on Axis Bank’s current card list for new applicants.
  • No spend based fee waiver.
  • Value depends entirely on using the health perks every month.
  • 3.5% forex markup.

Eligibility and documents

Axis’s current documents do not state income criteria for AURA, and the card is not on the bank’s current list. If Axis offers it to you, expect the usual KYC: PAN, Aadhaar or another photo ID, address proof and income proof, with a credit check.

How the Axis Bank AURA credit card compares

CardJoining / annual feeAnnual fee waiverFuel surcharge refund cap
Axis Bank AURA₹749 / ₹749None₹250 a cycle
Axis Bank ACE₹499 / ₹499₹2 lakh spend₹500 a cycle
Airtel Axis Bank₹500 / ₹500₹2 lakh spend₹500 a cycle

ACE and Airtel Axis are cashback cards with spend based waivers, so they cost nothing for anyone spending ₹2 lakh a year. AURA only wins if you value the health perks. For a wider view, see our best credit cards in India guide.

Our verdict

AURA is a niche card that rewards habit rather than spending. A family using two or three consultations a month gets solid value for about ₹884 a year. Someone who signed up for the Decathlon voucher and never logged in again should cancel after redeeming any points and pick a cashback card with a fee waiver.

How to apply

The card is not on Axis Bank’s current list. Check the official Axis Bank AURA card page for availability before applying.
